I DON’T LIVE IN A TOWN THAT IS SERVICED BY UTEC MATTRESS RECYCLING. CAN I DROP OFF MY MATTRESS AT YOUR FACILITY?
Yes. Residential customers may schedule a drop-off in advance by calling our call center number, 978.856.3997. All drop-offs must be paid for before they are brought to our mattress facility, and you must present a receipt. We do not give out the address for our facility until we receive payment.
Hours for drop-off are generally 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday – Thursday.
DO I NEED TO BE HOME FOR THE PICK-UP?
No. Mattresses should be placed curbside or within site of the street by 8:00 am the morning of the pick-up. The UTEC Mattress Recycling crew will pick up the mattresses or box springs before 3:00 pm. Similar to the way trash is collected, it is expected that the items are not placed in the street or walkway prior to your collection date. Our crew is prohibited from entering homes or apartments to pick up mattresses.
WHEN DO MATTRESS PICK-UPS OCCUR?
In Lowell, mattresses are collected generally every Wednesday between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. Days of the week may be subject to change. In Newburyport, pickups occur on a monthly basis. Please contact us at 978.856.3997 for the next pick-up date in your location or your local town office.
